When Tyler founded Altitude Recycling Equipment in 2010, he built it on something that’s increasingly rare in the industrial equipment industry: the belief that a handshake still means something.

Sixteen years later, that hasn’t changed.

Tyler started Altitude Recycling with a straightforward mission — give businesses across Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah access to quality recycling equipment, honest service, and a local partner who actually shows up. No runarounds. No upselling equipment people don’t need. No disappearing act after the sale. Just straight answers, fair prices, and work done right.

That kind of integrity is hard to find in any industry. In the recycling equipment business, where a baler going down can stop an entire operation, it matters even more. Tyler is a Colorado guy through and through. When he’s not working, you’ll find him on a trail somewhere in the Rockies — backpacking deep into the backcountry, hiking with family, or setting up camp somewhere without cell service. He coaches his kids’ sports teams, plays ice hockey, and has a genuine appreciation for the outdoors that shapes how he runs his business. Taking care of the environment isn’t just good for business — it’s personal.

Deep product knowledge. With 16 years of hands-on experience selling and servicing recycling equipment across hundreds of facilities, Tyler knows these machines inside and out. He’s worked with vertical balers, horizontal balers, two-ram balers, auto-tie systems, and specialty equipment across dozens of makes and models.

A long-term view. Tyler isn’t interested in a one-time transaction. The goal is to be your recycling equipment partner for the long haul — supplying wire, providing service, sourcing parts, and being the first call you make when something needs attention.
